Answering phones : Requires the candidate to answer all incoming calls in a professional and courtesy manner. Place out-going calls as specified by the provider or management. Confirming patient appointments. Copying handouts & forms as needed. Assist with prior authorizations for all imaging as needed. Other phone duties as assigned.
Check In: Greet patients, sales reps & visitors to the office. Review upcoming appointment schedules for referrals and open time slots needing to be filled. Escort patients to exam rooms if needed, prepare exam rooms for providers. Assist with incoming and outgoing phone calls. Assist with prior authorizations for all imaging as needed. Copying and scanning handouts & forms as needed. Other check in duties as assigned.
Check Out: Greet patients in a professional manner after leaving treatment rooms. Post charges for the office visits with modifiers from e-bill charges. Provide patients with necessary scripts, prescriptions, orders. Obtain prior authorizations from correct sources. Schedule ancillary testing, and follow up appointments for patients. Answer phones as needed. Other check out duties as assigned.
